OSINT Challenge 1 Vulnmachines walkthrough

In this first challenge of the OSINT challenge series, you need to perform OSINT (opensource-intelligence) assessment on the external assets of the target organization (OSINTOrg). You will be performing organization profiling on the social media accounts of organization and employees.

Solution:

Step 1: Login to Vulnmachines.

Step 2: Navigate to “Challenges >> OSINT Labs >> Organization Profiling”.

Step 3: Read the Preface of the lab and get started.

First challenge of the OSINT series is that you need to perform an open-source intelligence assessment on the external assets of the target organization, OSINTOrg. Find out the organization’s profiles on social media accounts and their employees.

Step 4: We will initiate the process of OSINT by gathering information about the organization and its employees from the social media profile. From one of the employee’s social media profiles, we can find the flag and a hint related to our second challenge.
