BOOK THIS SPACE FOR AD
ARTICLE ADA Kindle can help you reach those 2024 reading goals you set for yourself in January. Maybe you're a few books behind your goal and need some extra motivation right now. An e-reader like a Kindle takes all the books you've been meaning to read this year and stores them in a compact and portable device you can take to the office, doctor's appointments, or bed.

This Kindle Oasis, which has a handy (literally) handrest for a more ergonomic design, is a wonderful reading companion -- I know because I own one myself. And to seal the deal, it's still half off, at $135 on Amazon, after Amazon's October Prime Day deals event that ran from Oct. 8 through Oct. 9. There's no better time to jump on this deal while supplies for the Oasis last, but if you aren't quite convinced, keep reading to learn about the Oasis' features.
The Kindle Oasis is a bit larger and chunkier than its e-reading counterparts, like the Paperwhite. Still, it fits in my coat pocket and is easy to take anywhere, whether I'm stashing it in my purse after reading on the bus or curling up in a blanket on the couch. When I say anywhere, I mean it: Kindle equipped the Oasis with an IPX8 waterproof rating, so you can take this device to the bath, pool, or beach, and not worry about it getting water-logged.

There are two thoughtful design touches in this Kindle: first, the handrest that stabilizes the e-reader in your hand, and second, the two page-turning buttons (compared to the other Kindle's button-less design that relies on pressing the touchscreen). You'll get a few weeks' worth of battery life on this thing, too.
The Oasis isn't without its flaws, the primary one being that the device's resolution isn't the quickest or the clearest. It feels like an e-reader released a few years ago -- because it was. But if you aren't fussy and need an affordable Kindle that can store hundreds of e-books, magazines, and more, the Kindle Oasis isn't a bad option. Another flaw is that this deal only applies to the international version of the Kindle Oasis, so US residents can't purchase this and have it sent to their address.
When will this deal expire?
