BOOK THIS SPACE FOR AD
ARTICLE ADHello everyone! For those who don’t know me yet, my name is Ricardo, and I am on a personal challenge to learn bug bounty and reach $100k in one year. The challenge is not easy, but I already have a background in Information Technology as a systems analyst and have some pentest certifications. However, I had never been interested in bug bounty until about 6 months ago when I felt the urge to learn new things, so I decided to challenge myself in the world of hacking once again.
What has been done so far:
Day 01: I looked for ways to learn more about this profession, talked to people in the field to get some direction to focus my aim and follow a path to success!
Day 02: I enrolled in the HackTheBox academy and signed up for the CBBH (Certified Bug Bounty Hunter) certification course. I believe that’s the name; I don’t remember exactly at the moment. I then watched videos about reconnaissance and some vulnerabilities that I already have some knowledge about.
Day 03: I started the CBBH certification course and began the first block on web requests. Since my knowledge of web hacking is not very extensive, I decided to explore and study everything in this course, including links and articles on the subject.
Day 04: I finished the first block (HTTP request) of the web request module, but I am still reading RFC 2616 about the HTTP protocol as it is 170 pages long. I am trying to understand it more deeply to avoid any complications later when I start the explorations.
Day 05: Today, I am starting the HTTPS request block. I continue reading the RFC related to the HTTP protocol, now halfway through the pages, and I already have the RFC for the HTTPS protocol in line, waiting to start reading!
Note: This was a brief summary of what I did in the first 5 days. From the next day of the challenge, I will be detailing more about what I am following, how many hours I am studying, and what challenges I am facing to reach $100k by the end of this year.
I hope you enjoy this challenge and follow me for more!
