Another story that im not going to ilustrate like a book for 4 y.o kid but im going to tell you all something I’ve heard from 2 to 3 people, no one else.

So you’re starting or pushing your bug bounty hunter career, or maybe pentester career, feel stuck, fill consumped, this is your ”Gold Pill”.

#1 What is ‘9–5’

As a Bug Bounty hunter most of people treat it as leap of regular 9–5 job ‘Escape From Matrix’ ~Andrew Tate 2021, This is not of course regular job, You can peel yourself off the pillow at 1 p.m, drink some coffee, have some breakfast, life as in madrid, no boss, no talking heads above your head, what’s wrong?

#2 What is ‘Taking Risks’

But what is risk? When you do 9–5 you won’t take any risk, or take small, especially in lower level positions. you have solid job, solid task, solid salary, but what with bug bounty, this is risk, isn’t it? You learn 1–3 years until first bug pop-ups, and 50–200$ comes to bank account, and so far, and You are after 1'st stone mile, after the toughest step you are able to earn more and more, and ‘somehow it will be’, all of this are on your hand, but how bug bounty path looks like in real life?

#3 What is ‘Being In Crowd’?

I asked a question what is ‘Being in Crowd’? Well, if You work 9–5 How unique you are? You are black, regular citizen, and you discover bug bounty and you want to find out how it works, because you want to work on your hand, you want to take risk you have responsibility for your own life, you are out of crowd, what should go wrong?

#4 What i call ‘Programmed bug bounty’?

You see dozens of videos ‘How to do XSS’ on YouTube, tons of ‘Magic One-Lines’ here on Medium like subfinder -d hackme.com | httpx | gau | uro | gxss | tee qwertyuiop, you see ‘How to be bug bounty hunter’ which takes 12h to watch, you see 200$ coures Zero-Hero, You see all this mainstream stuff, that’s cool and all, but not when you’re seriously stuck, and medicine for this is not another video on Yt or reading on Medium or another magic line, another course, you do this and some people realize, this is being pushed into crowd, this is programming you, but STOP, take a breath and think about it, You wanna escape from 9–5 You wanna be unique, You wanna have good salary you have this mindset but you still act like everyone else.

Remember one Quote “When You act like everyone else, You will be like everyone else”

#5 “No Risk, No Ferrari”

But what to do? Do your sh*t, of course, do not get my words wrong, you might have to do some courses, you must study some basics and dead-end trues, these things are must-haves and in this step you have to act like everyone, but you must know when to leave the playground, let go of your momma’s hand and go your own way, find out what you are best at, find yourself, don’t let yourself be pushed into the crowd, this is really taking risk and taking your life in to your hands, you wanna write all-in-one code when you’re sitting and drinking a coffee , one button and bugs find themselves? DO IT Are you good at only one bug? DO IT, You know SQL like your own pocket and you wanna do only sqli, for f*ck you have to learn xss in this case? DO YOUR SH*T, BE UNIQUE, STAND OUT, one guy found how to create google dorks, one guy found sqli, You wanna find one more cve? Why not you? You have an idea you can find out your own methodology? Why not you?

#6 DO NOT GET IT WRONG

Im not try to tell that you must avoid things other people do, but use it responsible for your own path, imagine this scenario, from my life, i studied some b.b videos, etc i have my roots, but i always wanted to write my own all-in-one program that I might describe later, when i read those all people’s methodologies, they are different, but im here to grab it all, analyze them and pump them onto my program, im going MY WAY, yes based on other people works, but the way is still mine, im not following first, or second or third, I am cutting my own path, you understand? I took risk and responsibility for my action and i have rebuilded my program… emm… I don’t know after 5 times I lost count, because my path of thinking was wrong and everything have fallen apart, but this is responsibility for my action, i might fall 7 times and i’m gonna stand up 8. Second scenario, i see many of people (b.b hunters) that have a domain, and they try to find some juicy paths using ffuf and seclists, EVERYONE IS DOING IT, how they expect to find non-duplicate? It must be a fcking race!

Seriously im not trying to hate all people that using one lines, that study or create courses, or making long term videos, I personally studied some of them, im here to tell you opportunity of creating your style, your path, way you look at things etc. Really you can do and study mainstream things, im not hating them, but instead im talking about creating own path, own way and taking risks for your actions, like I did with my program.
