I used this portable battery on a camping trip and I can't stop gushing about it (and it's on sale)

EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus

Before this summer, I hadn't been camping in a decade. I used to love camping when I was young, especially at unspoiled beaches in the Caribbean. But kids make camping difficult, and I have three of them, so I knew I had my work cut out for me when I planned a camping trip with the older two. This trip was easier than ever with the EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus, currently on sale for $649 through Black Friday.

The EcoFlow Delta Plus 3 is an outstanding portable battery that proved to be the epitome of reliability, which I want in such a device. I lugged it with my two older kids during a recent camping trip. The battery-powered a fan, filled up and then deflated air mattresses, and charged my phone, flashlights, lanterns, and kids' tablets for two nights. It could've lasted a bit longer, but our trip was over a single weekend.

The purist in me has always disliked camping with a gas generator due to the noise and air pollution it causes, but camping with a portable battery is nothing like camping with a heavy generator. Aside from making us the envy of the group for being the only tent with a fan in the late summer heat, the EcoFlow Delta Plus 3 was quiet enough to sleep with it right next to us.

Many like these batteries for CPAP machines during camping trips or power outages. Depending on the model and age of the CPAP, they can use around 240 to 480 watts in eight hours, so the Delta Plus 3's 1024 watts capacity is perfect for this scenario.

During my testing, the EcoFlow Delta Plus 3 went from completely depleted to 50% in 33 minutes and up to 100% in 68 minutes. EcoFlow claims it can reach 80% in 40 minutes with 1500W AC input or one hour with solar.

The EcoFlow Delta Plus 3 is typically priced at $899, but a Black Friday deal reduced it by 28%, making its current price $649.

Black Friday is a big shopping event that occurs each year on the day after Thanksgiving. This year, it falls on Nov. 29.

Since Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday, many people are off through the weekend, so retailers have capitalized on this day, the last national holiday before Christmas. This makes Black Friday a great chance to finish checking off your holiday shopping list.
