Recon for Low Performance Computers -The Poor Man’s Recon

Hey all, My name is Rejinold Pearson. Today in this session we are gonna be setting up a high performance hacking lab that will speed up you recon process 10x faster. This blog is especially for those people who uses a low performance computer that have 4GB RAM, i3 processor and turtle speed internet.

Dudes! I know how its feels like when your computer run out of RAM when you’re doing recon and stuffs. Because I’ve been through such a situation where I don’t have a good computer. It hangs a lot. It crashes sometimes. It’s completely sucking. So lets break this situation and build a high performance computer with no computer. With that been said let’s get started.

SETTING UP CLOUD SERVER FOR FREE

Hacking Lab SetupJust go to cloud.google.com and create an Google Cloud account and that’s it. You got a free cloud shell. Now boot up your instance.You can use this cloud server 50 hours per months which is more enough to do recon like subdomain enumeration, directory fuzzing, http validation, screenshoting subdomains using aquatona and lot more.

3. Use it efficiently, so that you could do 50 powerful recon per month.

4. Now you should see a terminal on your browser which looks something like this. The beauty of the Google cloud shell is you can access it though browser, mobile or you can download it as a Desktop application even for Linux. Trust me its faster than the normal SSH.

5. Now its time to setup our hacking lab. I know many of you are the great fan of Kali Linux so lets switch this to Kali.

6. Simply go to this repository https://github.com/LionSec/katoolin and clone it to your cloud instance and run the program.

Now add the kali repositories to your cloud instance by clicking 1 and 2 to update it. BooM! We are done. Now we have 10x faster portable computer
