RenVM Joins Immunefi with a $1,000,000 Bug Bounty Program

To date, no funds have been hacked and we credit this to our progressive decentralization approach. A part of the larger progressive decentralization pathway is gradually open-sourcing repos and exposing them to the public via Bug Bounties.

This has brought us to kick off the $1,000,000 Bug Bounty Program with Immunefi. Immunefi is a bug bounty platform for smart contracts and DeFi projects where security researchers review code, disclose vulnerabilities, get paid, and help make the entire DeFi ecosystem safer.

We’re thrilled to be in a position to say that RenVM has become a popular cross-chain tool among DeFi users with $6.6 billion in total volume and around $900 million TVL to date. These kinds of numbers certainly highlight the importance of security and the need to ensure that the RenVM network is a safe place for all users’ funds.

Our bug bounty program is primarily focused on smart contracts and the core sMPC tech that underpins RenVM. Rewards are distributed according to the impact of the vulnerability based on the Immunefi Vulnerability Severity Classification System.

Bounty rewards can be paid out in either $REN, $USDC, or $USDT at the bounty hunter’s choice. You can find the RenVM public repositories and the detailed bounty page can be accessed here at Immunefi.
